Since 2015, Hindbag has been committed to sustainable and ethical fashion. All their bags and accessories are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton or GRS-labeled recycled wool, and manufactured at an NGO that works to empower women by training them in sewing and paying them fairly.

All Hindbag bags and accessories are manufactured by Indian NGO partner Swami Sivananda Mamorial Institute (SSMI) which fights for the emancipation of women in an underprivileged neighborhood of DELHI. These women make textile accessories in exchange for a salary 3x higher than the average Indian salary, training and a place at school for their children.
